Noah turns the big 2!

Hmmmm...Noah's not so sure about this big day. Growing up means more responsibility!

After swim lessons, we walked over to the Kindergarten playground.

I think Noah picked up some bad playground manners in Utah when he was sliding with all of the kids before the fireworks. Today, he was bossing kids around and cutting in front of them. We need to get his good manners back!

We went swimming at the pool this afternoon. Noah loves to borrow toys from other people. He has no problem reaching into someone's bag for something he wants. More manners to work on!

This cute face doesn't get rejected much, though.

Our favorite lifeguard, Emily found out about Noah's birthday during swim lessons, so she surprised him with a bag of m&ms when we went back to swim this afternoon. Yum!

We ate dinner at home and then we met my parents at the Blue Hill park for presents and cake.

Noah showed some hope of manners when he handed over the wrapping paper whenever he tore a piece off. He was even concerned about the little pieces.

So many fun new toys to play with!

We took a few toys out of the packages for Noah to play with. This car went great on the platform.

Cake time!

Noah's trying to blow out his candles.

He ended up needing help from Kate. She blew on a candle and then Noah picked the candle up, but it wasn't completely out yet when he put it into his mouth (copying his siblings who take the candles off the cake to lick the frosting off the bottom), but I immediately grabbed it from him, so no damage was done. He didn't like our reaction to him sticking a candle in his mouth, though.

He was in a good mood again after eating his cake. Doesn't he look like a little model? So cute!

The kids played on the playground.

A steel drum band "Flash in the Pans" played at the park from 7:30-9pm.

The kids played as we listened, we danced, and the kids played with the few activities that were set out when the band started to play. Fun!

Bean bag hog.

Zoe is very good with a Hula Hoop. Here she has it going around her knees.

Noah has decided that being 2 is going to be fun!
You can climb big rocks on a hill and scare your dad. Yeah, he's going to like being 2.

It was a non-stop party day and we had FUN! We love you, Noah!
