School Days in June

Matt grew up in a part of the country where the kids get out of school in May. Going to school in June is so foreign to him that he tells our kids every year that they don't have to go to school in June. There are a lot of fun school days in June, though, so the kids want to be at school.

Zach has had 3 field trips in the last few weeks. He has walked to the park, walked to the ice cream parlor, and he has taken a bus to our local library. I was able to go to the park and library with him. He also went to the Miles Lane school for the juggling show and a beach party lunch. Zach's last day of school was today, so he is on Summer vacation!

Eleanor's class went on a field trip to Birdsacre. They also had a Maine Day where they presented their reports on an animal in Maine and they ate food from Maine.

They also enjoyed the juggling show and beach party lunch. They had a reading party today and most of the 2nd graders wore their pajamas to be comfy while they read.

Emily's class went to Moose Point State Park and they went to the Challenger Center. They also saw the juggling show and enjoyed the beach party lunch.

Zoe went to the University to go on a bog walk. She hasn't had much fun in June, but she is still going to school. :-)
