Lions!

This cute costume was in one of the bags of clothes I went through yesterday. Kate is once again the proud owner of too many cute clothes! She wore "new" pajamas last night...

...and this adorable outfit today.

I am so glad she still lets me pick out her outfits because I look forward to it every morning!

Did you notice that Kate has a binkie obsession? Matt & I have decided that she is giving them up, cold turkey, on Monday. I am so dreading that day! I want to potty train Kate, so the binkies must go before I start. Giving them up after potty training would result in a potty relapse I think.

Eleanor requested that I read with her for her homework this afternoon. It was fun to hear her reading words like I, the, and is. I was impressed when she read the word house. I think she's going to take after Zoe & Emily who love to read.

You are SO brave to quite the binky cold turkey. Im terrified to do it as well, Ella LOVES hers. I hope it doesn't derail the potty training, though I guess I could always use a binky instead of a treat?? My parents are going to Bangor in May. I thought about you( though Im not sure where you live, exactly) as I booked their flight, they are really excited!
Keep me posted on the binky situation...

Our son had a paci until he was
3 1/2! I don't recommend waiting that long. Lulu had a bottle until she was over 3 too. We were just lazy. Good luck with all of that!

That's awesome that Eleanor is taking off! Great job!

I think cold-turkey is easier for little kids than it is for adults. You'll take it away from her and she'll go in and out of remembering that she ever had one for a few days and then BOOM! It'll be gone forever.

Or she may just start sucking on the middle and ring fingers of each hand, and continue to do so until she's 7 or 8.

Good luck!

I think it's funny that she needs the back-up ones in her hands. Just in case...

Good luck with the binkie goodbye!

My girls all spit them out around 5 to 6 months. I don't know why.

It is music to my ears to listen to my girls when they first start reading. Good job Eleanor!
