House Progress/Parade/Books

Matt has been blessed with good construction weather lately. :-) It was cold today, but the sun was shining.

The kids and I went to the parade of lights in Bangor this evening. We enjoyed treats and hot chocolate at the Children's Museum before the parade.

Our favorite float was the shark!

The parade was almost 2 hours long! We stuck it out though and waited for Santa to go by.

We read The Christmas Magic last night. The kids liked the story okay, but they didn't care for the illustrations. Santa has a weird looking mustache.

Emily unwrapped a book this evening. She carefully looked through the wrapped books hoping to pick The Elves and the Shoemaker and she found it! Everyone was excited! This is a favorite Christmas book here. Even Zoe sat and listened, which she hasn't done for the past 2 books. Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa, we have this book in our collection. :-)

Go Matt, I bet it is COLD. And speaking of cold, I'm not sure I could last 2 hours at a parade, at night, in DECEMBER, but good for you guys! :) The kids look happy so it must have been fun. I'm glad everyone is doing well and enjoying a lot of holiday activities, that's fun!
