I found our Christmas tree yesterday when the kids and I went out to play. I think it's perfect and I hope the rest of the family thinks so, too. It's close to the house, so Matt won't have to go far with it after he chops it down. I thought about chopping it down myself yesterday, but I was determined to get some scrapbooking done, which I did, and Noah started getting fussy when the thought entered my mind. We usually end up getting our tree the week before Christmas, but I'd like to get it earlier this year...like I say every year, but maybe this year it will really happen! Maybe Matt will find our Christmas tree up and decorated when he gets home from his High Council meeting...
Speaking of meetings, I went to my first P.T.O. meeting last night. I've been wanting to go since September, but last night's meeting was the first I was available to go to. I'm still trying to figure out why I feel the need to go to these meetings. I guess it's my way to volunteer at this time with small children at home. As fund raisers are discussed, I can volunteer to do the things that can be done from home. I didn't walk away with any assignments last night, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

We always get our tree on the weekend of Thanksgiving or the week after. It's up and looking beautiful now!
Oh my goodness, the raisen episode in the last post cracked me up! I have pictures of my boys at that age, in the pantry, with flour all over the floor and little flour footprints going all around the house...yes, good times!
In the post before that you talked about reading Christmas books. We just got our house decorated this weekend and I pulled out all my Christmas books and am all set to start reading them too!

I remember back when we used to get REAL trees. The December before moving to Saipan my parents bought a fake one (understandable but still lame). Mike's family also uses a fake one, but starting next year (probably, unless we get to Saipan for a year by some miracle) we'll be using REAL Christmas trees, which is right and proper unless circumstances say otherwise.
Wow-you cut your own trees and you go to PTA meetings??? You never cease to amaze me. I avoid the PTA at all costs. I volunteer in the classrooms, but I can't stand the organizational stuff.

And sounds like Kate and Pedro would get along just fine being disagreable and making messes. :)
