I found (what I thought to be) clutter in our monopoly game bag that I simplified.  The kids find weird places to put things!

Paper Bag

That's right.  I threw away a paper bag today that was clutter in my kitchen.  I thought about keeping it in case I need it in the future, but then I thought about the plastic bags I save to use, so I decided the paper bag could go.

Jeans

I'm still going through my closet.  I have a bunch of jeans that don't fit me, so I am going to give them to a friend who I think can use them.

I have a pink fleece shirt that I am getting rid of.  I have a new fleece shirt that fits me better & I like it better.

Kate's shirt

Kate simplified for me today, which worked out perfect because I haven't been home much today.  Kate got some hand-me-down clothing several weeks ago, but she decided today that she didn't want to keep one of the shirts.  Works for me!

Socks

I bought myself new socks today.  If I keep these old socks (shown above), they will turn into clutter and just take up space.  I have no use for them anymore, so out they go.
I have a daughter who needs to work on getting rid of the old thing after she buys something new to replace it!

A magnet & Clothes

I tossed a zebra magnet that I wanted to get rid of months ago, but one of the kids spotted it and put it back on the fridge.  I went through Noah's clothes this evening when he wasn't home and filled a grocery bag full of clothes he doesn't wear to give to Finn.  We have limited space for clothing around here!

Junk Drawer Clutter

I emptied out our junk drawer when we discovered a mouse was getting into it.  That was months ago.  I have been putting stuff back into the drawer as I use it.  There was still some stuff left that I hadn't used yet, so I put away what I will use eventually and tossed the rest.

Giving back what is borrowed

I didn't get rid of anything that was mine today, but I did give back a few items that a friend had lent to me.  I'm counting that as simplifying.

Daffy Duck Clip

This magnetic clip was holding a bunch of papers on the side of our washer/dryer.  I simplified most of the papers and put the rest of the papers in a different spot.  Now, I am ready to simplify this clip.

Cute Shirt

I am cleaning out my closet.  I like this LandsEnd shirt (size S 6-8), but I have outgrown it.  I could keep it and hope that I lose weight to fit into it again, but I'm done doing that.  I'm only keeping clothes that fit me.  If I do lose weight and need smaller clothes, then off to Goodwill I go. :-) 

Exercise Top

I wore this when I did aerobics, but now I walk and I don't wear it anymore, so I am giving it away.  It is an ativa, size M.

Capri Jeans

I bought these Old Navy capri jeans last Summer. I ended up not liking them, but I wore them because I spent money on them.  I don't plan on wearing them this Summer, so I am simplifying them.  They are a stretch material, which I like, but these capris stretch too much around the waist & I'm constantly tugging them up.  I should have bought a smaller size I guess.  These capris are a size 12.

Towel

Zach received a special baptism towel on Sunday, which he will now use as his bath towel.  So, I am giving his old bath towel to Goodwill.

School Papers

I have a basket that holds school papers, which was getting too full.  I went through the papers this evening.  I set aside some stories & other keepsakes to save, I tossed a bunch of the papers & I kept the papers that we still need for this school year in the basket.

Fun Cookbook

Every time I think about getting rid of this cookbook, I talk myself out of it because it has fun things to create with the kids!  However, I never get it out to actually make things with the kids.  Well, I'm not talking myself out of getting rid of it this time.  I am simplifying the clutter.  It may not be clutter for you, though.  :-)

Lost Earring

Awhile ago, I threw away some earrings that didn't have a match.  Well, I found one of the missing earrings, but I just threw it away since I had already tossed the match to it.

Just one thing

This was one of those days where I didn't feel like decluttering, but this blog motivated me to get rid of one thing.  I tossed an old bottle of bug spray.  Not too exciting!

Red Boots

Noah's favorite red rain boots don't fit him anymore.  :-(  I'm going to pass them on to Mallory for Finn.  I hope he loves them as much as Noah did!
