Why yes, that would be a mouse poking out from the washer. Fortunately it is dead, so I didn't have to figure out how to kill it. I just had to figure out how to get rid of it without touching it.
It took me a few minutes to get up the courage to sweep it up. Zach wanted to hold it. I let him carry the dustpan to dump it in the diaper pail.

I love mice. We used to have them as pets, but they always died.

I am trying to think of a funny mouse/laundry joke... he would rather die than do laundry? I don't know. Mice are so cute in theory but when they are in my house they freak me out.
It sounds like a fun weekend - lots of basketball in your future! the girls will love it. Did you play basketball when you were younger?
