Decluttering my life

It is time for me to shut down this blog.  I am grateful for the handful of you who are my faithful readers.  I am finding ways to lift my burdens & have more time with my family.  Downsizing from 2 blogs to 1 blog is one way I am doing this.  I will continue to declutter, but I will not be writing about it.  I hope you continue to declutter, too!

Eleanor got a new bike for her birthday today, so her old bike that she has outgrown is being simplified.

This is a Women's GAP stretch size M that is a bit too see through for my liking.  Someone could wear this with a really cute tank top underneath.

Insurance Cards

I wanted to register my Yukon today, but I only found expired insurance cards & Matt's current insurance card for his suburban in the glove box & my wallet.  Oops!  I found my current insurance cards and have put them in the Yukon & my wallet.  I am simplifying the old cards.

Missing Handle

We have a 4 wheeled riding toy outside that has a missing handle.  I am getting rid of it.

I pulled a pair of capri pants from my closet and discovered the hanger was broken, so I threw it away.

Email Clutter

I have been going through my emails today and unsubscribing from unwanted email.  My overloaded inbox weighs me down!  I will look over my emails in the next few days to make sure I got it all.

CD Clutter

I was in my car, waiting for Zoe & Emily this evening and I had yet to declutter anything.  I went through the CDs & got rid of a few broken pieces from a CD case & a few CD inserts that didn't have a home due to broken cases.

Boots

Eleanor is hard on fashion boots.  I threw away 2 pairs that she wore out this winter.

Attic Clutter

My wonderful parents let us store clothes & things in their attic.  I spent time in there today digging out Spring & Summer clothing.  I noticed clothing that I knew would never get worn & my kids rejected some clothing that I had saved for them, so I am simplifying the unwanted clothes.  They will get dropped off at Goodwill in the near future.

Noah's Decluttering

Noah is taking charge of decluttering this morning.  He wanted to organize his box of toys.  I like it!  He is getting rid of clutter & moving toys to where they should be.  :-)

Craft Box

I took everything out of our craft box this morning.  I threw away old glue, broken popsicle sticks, worn out paint brushes & other clutter.  I moved some of the supplies to where they belong & I put the rest of the supplies back into the craft box.

Crayons

Our crayon basket was overflowing with crayons.  I threw away the old, broken crayons & now we have a half-full basket of nice looking, fully functioning crayons.  It looks so much better & now crayons won't be falling onto the floor when the kids carry the basket around.  :-)

Noah needs a new plastic softball because the one he had got run over and I threw it away today.

New Favorite Coat

Noah has a coat that he absolutely loves, but it is stained & it has a hole in it.  He had another very nice looking coat tucked away in his closet, so I dug it out today & announced that he now has a new favorite coat.  Luckily, he agreed!  I am getting rid of his worn out coat before he changes his mind!

Noah's pajamas

Last night, Noah wore a pajama shirt that didn't cover his belly & pajama pants that didn't reach his ankles.  It was quite the sight!  I bought him new pajamas today, so his too small pajamas, plus a few pajama pants without tops will be given away.

Hidden Clutter

Noah & I had a picnic in the Yukon today.  When I lifted up the seats to make a flat surface, I discovered hidden trash & toys.  I took this clutter out of the Yukon & threw it away or put it away.
