It was frog heaven for the kids!

Kate's favorite area, the doll house!

The High School kids sit in the back of the bus, but not during the Open House!
We went to Bo's Birthday party this morning!

Bo had a Diego party with lots of animal games & food!

Look at these awesome sea turtle cupcakes!

Kate loved playing with Bo and Bo's new fairy house!

Last Beach Day

We had a great last beach day today at Craig Pond!  The weather was perfect and fun friends joined us.  Thank you Andrea, Jack, Harry, Victoria, Christy, Lexie, Jade, Mason, Jenn, Hayden, Connor, Lauren, Colby, Patrick & the many frogs that were caught for making today so awesome!

We went to Kate's Kindergarten Open House this evening!  She has anxiously awaited this day!  Kate is our first Kindergartener to not have Mrs. Pelletier, so it was weird going to a different classroom.  Kate's teacher, Mrs. Peters is just as awesome as Mrs. Pelletier, though!  Kate is going to have a fun year!  Kate loved the baby doll area & the doll house area.  Mrs. Peters' 81 year old mother got the doll house set up for the Open House.  She will be visiting Kate's class every Friday.  She sounds like a sweet, sweet lady.  :-)  Kate is excited and nervous about starting school. I think she will adjust quickly once school starts on Tuesday.

Where is the laundry maid?

The kids got all of their laundry done today (with my help), which was no small task!  Eleanor went to play with Anna, so I washed her clothes, but she put them away this evening.  Eleanor has more clothes than hangers, so she will have to do some simplifying.  Kate & I had fun going through her clothes to see what she has for school.  I didn't buy her too much yesterday because she gets a lot of hand-me-downs.

Matt took Zoe to Young Women's this evening.  Noah wanted to go with Matt, so they enjoyed one on one time during Zoe's activity.  I went to the soccer club registration to sign Emily & Eleanor up.  I also asked people to sign up to help with concessions.  Most people signed up to bring baked goods instead of volunteering to sell the food, but that is okay.  Baked goods sell fast, so the more we sell, the bigger our profit.  :-)  I don't mind selling the food, but I don't want to be selling at every game like I did last year.  A few people signed up to sell and I will post the list again during the first game.

Shop 'til you drop

I took the kids school shopping today.  Zoe's friend Caitlin went with us, too.  It would have been nice to take the kids one or two at a time, but realistically that wasn't going to happen.  We had a full day in 3 different stores.  I'd like to say that we are done, but there are a few more pairs of sneakers to buy.

I took Zoe & Caitlin to the Speranza's back to school bowling party when we were done shopping.  Kristen, Kayla, Alex, Jon, Zoe & Caitlin all had a fun time!  I took a much needed nap in the car!  Matt, Eleanor, Zach, Kate & Noah ate yummy terriyaki chicken for dinner and hung out at home.  The kids were tired, too from shopping!  Emily went over to Cassidy's house.

Rise & Shine

School starts next Tuesday, but we started getting up early today.  I was up at 5:00 to go for a walk.  It was peaceful, but a bit freaky.  It is light enough to see at that time, but dark enough that I can hear animals moving around in the woods.  I really don't want a porcupine or a skunk to cross my path!  The kids got right up today, but I think they will be dragging tomorrow.  I probably will be too!

I watched Mary's kids today, so my kids enjoyed having friends to play with.  They watched "Minor Details", they played on the wii, they played outside, they found a pet snake (that eventually died), they played legos & other fun indoor games, they ate lunch and Zoe & Madie made brownies for everyone, and they got each other wet with the hose.  It was a fun day!

We ate dinner as a family and then we had our second portion of Family Home Evening.  Matt brought home cookies for the treat.  All of the kids loved the chocolate chip and some of the kids liked the oatmeal raisin.  Then we went to the waterfront to go for a walk.  It was a bit windy, but it was still a beautiful evening.  With Emily's help, we found the Geo cache.  She had found it before with her friend, Ansley.  We added our name to the list and then we moved on to the fountain to make wishes.  It was fun to get out as a family and to enjoy a walk together.  :-)

Left Behind

Zoe planned to ride home from church today with my Dad, but she failed to let him know the plan.  She is working on her Faith project for personal progress, so she stayed after church with the young women to interview people for the upcoming New Beginnings.  We left and when we got home, we found out that Zoe had missed her ride.  I don't think she was too heart broken since she went over to Morgan's house for the afternoon.  I think that was her plan all along.

Birthday Pictures & More

Lookin' cool on the last pool day
Zoe participated in the Knights of Columbus soccer challenge this morning.
The kids kicked the ball into the net and received points for when it went into the 4 corners.

Zoe and the other participants will go on to the state challenge next month in Bangor.

When I got home, Noah was anxious for me to see Matt's lasso skills.  Soon, all of the kids wanted Matt to catch them!

The shots I got of the kids waiting for the rope to catch or hit them are hysterical!

Ready or not, here it comes!

We celebrated my Mom's 63rd Birthday today!
Grandkids are the light of her life!

We all looked forward to her yummy cake!

We love you Grammie (Mom)!
